5 tips to identify Scam Travel Brands

    Let’s talk on how to identify scam travel brand in Nigeria and how to avoid them.

    It’s no joke that there are one thousand and one false brands out there that keep causing a lot of innocent victims’ pain, sorrow and leave them shattered and its important to know how to identify them. So, let’s have 5 bigs tips to note when you want to relocate:

    1. Verifiable accreditation
    It is always important to check to see whether they are accredited or not. Although not all travel agencies have certifications, genuine ones should be registered members of registered and recognized associations.

    With such registered recognition, there is an assurance that you are dealing with an official travel agency.

    Note that you can ask to see the company registration documents, business licenses, etc. Make them show you documents that will give you a sense of security before you path-ways with your money.

    2. Is the deal too good to be true?
    If it is, then you should think twice before going ahead to pay.

    Most times, these fake travel agencies bring mouth-watering deals to innocent travelers and you must be very observant to identify such fake agencies from real ones.. The rule of thumb is, if a deal sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a scam.

    3. Check for customers’ reviews
    Every genuine, authentic, and good travel agency should have customers’ reviews praising and recommending their services. If there are no reviews at all, then you are likely dealing with a fake travel agency.

    Always check for recommendations and reviews on their website. The experience of existing customers will tell you almost all you need to know about the travel agency.

    4. What is their mode of operation?
    Most times, the mode of operation of a travel agency will tell you if they are fake or not. If the travel agency is encouraging you to take shortcuts, then you have to watch it.

    If they lecture you on how to beat immigration checkpoints, then that is a red flag, and you need to take a step back it is better you do, because you should never settle for anything that looks or sounds suspicious. A genuine travel agency will not be dubious in their dealings.

    5. Fake websites
    you should stay away from websites that do not have securities on their webpage. When filling your details on any website, ensure that the site is secure and be very careful, not to give information about your credit or debit cards on such websites.

    IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO FALL VICTIMS OF THESE SCAM BRANDS, BECAUSE IT END IN TEARS MOST TIMES. SO, STAY CAREFUL.
